Offer summary

We are offering the equivalent value of 5,000 km’s worth of at-home charging using night / off-peak electricity unit rates for selected BYD models.

Unit-rate used (night / off-peak)

To give a practical, fair estimate we averaged representative night rates from major suppliers (May 2025):

Average night / off-peak rate (May 2025) = (14.79 + 13.946 + 15.565) ÷ 3 = 14.767 c/kWh€0.14767 /kWh (rounded for calculations).

Note: individual supplier tariffs (and the exact night window) vary. See sources above for published examples. Electric Ireland ROI+2bonkers.ie+2

Model figures & calculations (night-rate basis)

All costs rounded to two decimal places. Each “full charge” cost = battery capacity × €0.14767/kWh. Number of full charges = 5,000 ÷ WLTP combined range.

The representative night rate (€0.14767/kWh) is an average of the cited examples (May 2025). For precise customer quotes we recommend using the customer’s actual tariff or the exact supplier tariff when calculating a personalised figure. BYD Waterford reserves the right to amend or withdraw the offer at any time.

Offer valid only for new BYD vehicles ordered before 8th November 2025 and collected within the promotion period. The “5,000 km free driving” is expressed as an equivalent monetary value of night-rate home charging — we do not supply physical kWhs/gift cards unless stated elsewhere. The monetary values shown are estimates based on: battery capacity, WLTP combined range and an averaged night/off-peak unit rate (May 2025). Actual charging costs will vary by supplier, meter type, standing charges, applied discounts, and charging efficiency (losses).

Dolphin Design: full charge cost = 60 kWh × €0.14767 = €8.86.
Full charges = 5,000 ÷ 427 ≈ 11.71.
Total = €8.86 × 11.71 ≈ €103.75.
